This four movement work for solo Cello is dedicated to the memory of Kristine Bogyo . Framed in the traditional classical Sonata da chiesa structure, the work is infused with an improvisatory character and is revealed in a narrative that seems to mirror the progress of a life. From the initiating Prelude, energetic youthful scherzo, reflective yet optimistic Intermezzo and finally departing in a blaze of glory in the singularly defiant Toccata, this new addition to the solo cello repertoire  is an original and entitled work; one destined to defy generations of future cellists.
